Short Update on the Release

Hey everyone

Turns out we need a couple more days to release 0.9 - the renders are not going to be completed in time. (I even decreased the iteration count on some of the animations which results in a bit of quality decrease to speed things up)
Looks like the Elite release will be out on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Anyone who pledged in the Scientist Tier ($10) or above this month will receive the update in their messages on Patreon in a couple of days. ( I will still post the update normally as well)

MP Development Update #23



Hey everyone

As you know I'm working on the 0.9 release and something went wrong! As most of you know, I'm using Daz Studio. Well, they did a new update, which is a stable release, so I updated a couple weeks ago. Everything was fine - or so I thought.

Turns out this new update breaks some animation keyframes upon saving and loading. Meaning, among other things, Connor's cock is stiff as stick! And not in the good sense... I did the animations and saved them to be rendered at a later time, and that's when I noticed that basically I have to redo most of the stuff. So I spent the whole weekend trying to fix this. I have a workaround, but it's not ideal... Well, I'll just animate the lost keyframes again, and don't save it, just render it right away, then when it's finished, animate the next, render, repeat. Far from ideal but that's the best I could come up with.

The developers already know about the issue so I hope they'll fix it in the next couple of weeks.
Rolling back to a previous version is not possible either, because they don't allow to roll back. Also, I couldn't find a trustworthy source for a previous beta release either (it's against the license agreement to share it) :/

It made me really frustrated obviously, having to mess around with fixing this instead of doing actual progress. But anyways, this will probably cause a 1-3 day delay. I'll make sure the Elite version gets released this month for sure. Just wanted to give a heads up.

Now that I know about the issue, it won't affect any future releases, but we have 13 animations so far in this release (I wanted to do 2 more, I can probably squeeze them in) so that's actually more troublesome to fix than the previous update's 8 animations.
Other than that, not much to say. I'll keep working as fast I can to roll out the 0.9 update ASAP.

MP Development Update #22

Hey everyone

I consider the 8th release of Midnight Paradise a success. I managed to prove to myself that I 'still got it' by releasing it in a month after the 0.7 update. I'm keeping up the pace and will do another release in the month of May, most likely at the end again. I will continue to do my best to keep up the monthly release schedule until the end of Midnight Paradise.
There are still some things that need to be ironed out, like going late into the night on release day, but I'll keep working on that and do my best to eliminate that problem.

There's a ton of work to do so I'm not going to blabber too long here, just some key things I want to share you about the next update.
This update will feature scenes mostly with Joyce and Isabel from the main trio and Tanya is getting more lewds, while she's moving the main plot further.

All the girls have come to terms that they like Connor, so I'm going to turn the heat up to 11 from this point forward.
I really hope you liked Ruby's introduction to her new work environment in the last update, it was really fun to make those scenes. I hope I can create an interesting setup/situation for each of the main ladies when it comes to succumbing to their lustful desires.
I'm also adding more night scenes in the 0.9 update (with animations, of course) to the main trio.
Right now I'm working on an awesome scene with Joyce at the pool and her bikini is almost as hot as she is! I will post previews of that this weekend.

I don't want to spoil too much, so I'll keep it vague for this month. I'll show previews of course, so stay tuned for that.
Oh, and a side note: Midnight Paradise won't be completed when we reach the 10th update, don't let the version numbers confuse you.

MP Development Update #20

Hey everyone




I hope you are all still staying safe. These are trying times, but I also hope we can make it a bit more bearable with some quality adult games.
I mentioned last month that I have some surprises coming this month. The first one is coming next week. It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you what it is though, so you'll have to keep an eye on my posts next week.
The other surprise is planned for the end of the month, that's gonna be a smaller one.
About work:
I'm working on 0.8 as you could expect. You might have noticed that Ruby didn't get much love in 0.7 aside from her scene where she tagged along Connor to check out the warehouse.
This was a deliberate decision, because Ruby is at a point in her story where I have to advance the main story more before she can enter her "phase 2".
So that is what I'm going to focus on in with the 0.8 release. Also, the ever mysterious Natsuko is getting a spicy scene this time as well. No need to worry, you'll still see Joyce and Isabel in the next update too.
Kyle appears again - who did he get the envelopes from?
And as you can see, Connor is finally getting a new outfit - no more of that fuckboy T-shirt nonsense. He'll also wear various other clothing in some scenes from now on. I'm also doing something interesting with Connor's story this update in the form of a little montage. I've yet to make that so I hope that will turn out nicely.

On the technical side - I hope to include the new scene trigger system in the next update. I've expanded on its features even more than the initial idea, so hopefully it will bring a big improvement to the overall gameplay and ease of use.
You might have noticed some new music tracks in the previous update, that is going to continue in the following one.
I'll also try to squeeze in some of those sweet turntable animations to the extra gallery, although they take quite some time to render.

Despite all the bad things going on in the world right now, I hope you guys had a good time this Easter.

Hey everyone



As you probably know by know, the world is in chaos and we're getting fucked by corona.
The situation is a bit dire over here in Europe and many of you who are living here can probably confirm that.
Last week and this week also I have spent some time to make sure that my mother has everything she needs and she doesn't need to get out of the apartment and I also tried to make sure that my private life stuff are in order and I don't need to leave here either.
Work might stop for many of you, but it won't stop for us adult game devs - and I'm not planning to stop. Now it's probably more important than ever to deliver quality adult games to the guys staying at home.

I'm dropping 0.7 next week and I know it's not a minute too soon. When next week? That's gonna be a surprise.
I'm going to have another (smaller) surprise right after that. And one more after that. I'm full of surprises, huh?

MP Development Update #18​



Hey everyone

Seems like there was a little bit of confusion with my last post. When I said I'm interested in pursuing some of the ideas I have that never meant stopping work on MP. Just wanted to make that clear.
So as I'm working on 0.7 it keeps getting bigger and bigger. I wanted this to be a small update but I guess I just can't stop adding things to the scene list. I always felt bad about smaller releases, but I know I should strike a good middle ground instead.

Anyways, we're looking at about 15-16 new animations, some of them are longer this time.I'm also turning up the heat with an animated blowjob scene, some good old going down on one of the girls, more night fun (because I like those) and I've heard you want some more Joyce action, so you're getting 2 scenes with her that will advance their physical relationship with Connor to a new level ;)

Also adding a new flashforward cutscene with Thorne (because I also like those), which will be voiced again. I'm also adding some conversations when you find the characters when you're walking around in the navigation mode. These won't be necessary to complete but will give some background story to characters. I might do more with this later, but it's just some 'world building' for now.

As you can see on the picture above I'm introducing the new maid character, Celine. She has an interesting relationship with Connor aaand... I won't spoil anything.
Remember Kyle? Connor's friend from the beginning with the envelopes? You're going to meet him in 0.7 too. Revenge is sweet ;)





On another note, with Patreon's new layout changes I've noticed that some of the new people here can't find the links to the games properly. What I've come up with is to make a pinned post with all the links and some FAQ in there, so I'll do that sometime this week. In the meantime if you're new and having trouble finding stuff, go to the 'My Membership' panel and scroll down to the bottom, then click 'Read More' - that should open up the old overview page where you can find everything. Thanks, Patreon...

MP Development Update #17

Hey everyone,

I know I missed a week but I've been going at it lately and I think it's safe to say this is going to be a bombshell of a dev update here.
I've been talking about a maid character for a while and she was supposed to debut in 0.6 - however I just couldn't get her right and wasn't sure about the direction I should go with her.
But I'm happy to say that she's done and I'm satisfied with the results.
I'm also introducing 2 more new ladies. That's right, because there are never enough hot girls in a Lewdlab game.
The first one, a lovely MILF I created out of necessity. Midnight City has just got a new Mayor. And boy she's a great addition to the lineup in my opinion. The effects of some of her new policies will be felt right in the 0.7 release. I've planned quite a few fun interaction with her for the future. Also, one more lady with glasses! Yea!
The third girl I've created is a special one. I didn't have any predefined role for her, I just sat down and went with the flow - and she's the result. She's different from my usual characters and I like her a lot. I have some ideas on what to do with her and where she'd fit but she's going to have to sit on the sidelines for a little while.

I've also created a 'turntable' animation for all 3 of the new girls in their bikinis. These animations will be put into the extras section in the game. I'm planning on doing this for all the girls for each of their outfits so there are going to be a ton of these, I'll add these as soon as I can but maybe not all will fit into 0.7 as these have 210 frames each so they take a while to render.

On another note - I had a discussion with one of my friends today about my work. I have some ideas I really want to pursue and create some of that type of content, but that could work as bonus content only. So that doesn't really move the actual game forward. So I'm in kind of a dilemma right now - should I do these bit of bonus goodies that I actually would love to do - or should I just shut up and keep on working on the 0.7 update.
Many times I feel like I could do some cool and new stuff I haven't done before and do a bit of experimenting and broadening my horizons but there's always the time pressure of finishing a new release. I'm not a big fan of quotes but I've seen this one recently somewhere and it really stuck in my head: "You'll never find time for anything. If you want time, you must make it"
So I guess I'll just have to make some more time then:)
I'm also planning some updates to gameplay - specifically for how the scenes/events are triggered. These auto-trigger scenes feel a bit clunky at times so I've came up with an idea on how to eliminate those and go with a more player friendly approach. Not sure if it will make it into 0.7 though, but we'll see.
